BLIND EMBOSSING:

In blind embossing, a specially made die is pressed on printed card from back side to raise the card on front. For example, if a logo is to be blind embossed, a die is pressed from back of card in such a way that only logo area is raised on front side.

BLIND DEBOSSING:

In blind debossing, a specially made die is pressed on printed card on printed side to make an impression of text or shape. For example, if a logo is to be blind debossed, a die is pressed on front of card in such a way that only logo area is punched inward on front side.

Debossing Suggestions and Tips

1) While Debossing its normal that surface of your business cards get slightly lowers or raises. For a heavy deboss, we suggest only debossing one side.

2) We would prefer a high resolution file for debossing to give you a crispy and clear debossing effect.

3) We suggests blind debossing to be used as a design of background or boarders like patterns on the surface to make texture or some flourish work instead of getting your important contact information (name, company, phone, etc.) debossed.

Deep Debossing:

If you are interested in a impression deep into the stock then you should go for deep debossing. A special die is pressed with massive pressure over the thick card stock to make a deep impression into the stock.

Standard size for business cards is 3.5"x2" which further can be designed in vertical layout or in horizontal layout. Mostly people use horizontal layout.
